Golden Times in Las Vegas
In one of the most competitive shows on our annual circuit the Las Vegas World Cup brings together an international panel of horses, judges, and exhibitors.
Our headliner stallion at this years show was the Qatari superstar, Fadi Al Shaqab. A previous World Champion Stallion, Fadi Al Shaqab made his American debut in Las Vegas and in doing so not only claimed the GOLD CHAMPION STALLION award but was named the HIGH SCORING horse of the entire competition. Fadi Al Shaqab is owned by Al Shaqab, Member of the Qatar Foundation, and was bred by Michael Byatt Arabians.
Also representing Qatar was the beautiful Ghazala Al Shahania, a five year old mare owned and bred by Al Shahania Stud of Doha. Ghazala Al Shahania claimed the GOLD CHAMPION MARE title and in doing so made it 2 in a row for Al Shahania. Last years GOLD winner was Badiaa Al Shahania, a 3/4 sister to Ghazala.
SILVER and BRONZE titles were won by fillies shown by Michael Byatt Arabians for owners from Sharjah, UAE, and South Africa. The BRONZE was won by Seranza, by Kanz Al Bidayer. Seranza claimed the 1st section of fillies and was the high scoring yearling filly of the show. Austin Colangelo was on the lead in the finals. Seranza is owned by Annelie Jonker. The final section of fillies was won by Kareemah Al Bidayer who was fresh off her unanimous championship in Scottsdale and ended the Las Vegas competition claiming the SILVER title. Kareemah is owned and bred by the Albidayer Stud of the UAE.
Congratulations to all the winners and to the show committee for yet another great Las Vegas World Cup show. See you in 2018!
